How many treatments are needed?
On average, a series of three treatment sessions over the course of a few months may be needed. The number of injections at each session will vary, depending on the degree of correction needed and the treatment plan determined by you and your specialist.
What is Sculptra made out of?
Sculptra Aesthetic is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable substance that has been proven safe and has been used in medical products, including dissolvable sutures, for more than 30 years.
Why choose Sculptra® Aesthetic over a dermal filler?
Sculptra® is slightly different than dermal filler products. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane® and Juvederm®, it is formulated with poly-l-lactic acid to work within your skin to stimulate collagen growth and restore lost facial volume over time. The results from a Sculptra® procedure may last up to two years.
Which areas of the face does Sculptra® Aesthetic treat?
Sculptra® is used to treat areas of the face that are prone to volume loss such as cheeks, temples, and areas around the chin and mouth.
How many treatments will I need?
Sculptra® usually requires at least 3 treatments each administered about 4 weeks apart. It comes in vials, and the number of vials needed varies by each individual patient. At SB Medspa, we require a consultation prior to treatment. During that visit, we will complete a facial evaluation and determine the appropriate treatment plan.
